The amount of the pension is determined by the age of the widow or widower and the number of
children in her or his care.

Please note: there is no limit to the number of children in the family who can be entitled to the pension.
A special survivors’ benefit is paid to the widow and widower of an
Israeli residentA person whose life is centered in Israel. Criteria for determining this include: Israel is your permanent place of residence, where your family resides, where your children go to school, your primary place of work, or where you are studying. who was not
insured
(because he or she were aged 60-62 or older when immigrating to
Israel). The rates of the special survivors’ benefit are equivalent to
the survivors’ pension under the National Insurance Law, without a seniority increment.
